I enjoyed Falk's grit and physicality and underdog vibe, but Pach's quote toward the end seems most true:
if he's on Buffalo's third pairing this coming season the defense isn't anywhere near where it needs to be.

So many Sabres are rather ho-hum.

Avatar wager?

Boss suggests - no way Sabres finish bottom 5 in the nhl in 2018-19 season.

Gerbe??????

- Boss34

Yes lol I’ve won the last 2

Right now this team right now is a bottom 3

Depending on the moves they could be top 10

Falk is fine for the press box role, he is the guy you throw in the lineup against the teams that like to play physical. If Bogo can stay healthy for once he would provide the toughness needed on the back end in as he has a higher talent level than Falk.
You also don't want a young player sitting, waiting his turn when they can be playing regularly in Rochester.

Is there such a thing as a Bottom top team? I mean it seems to me you can only be one or the other. I swear, I want to strangle that damn bird, I think it is causing me seizures.

Domi and 5OA for O'Reilly, Nylander and next year's first
- jcragcrumple

Arizona comes back with O'Reilly, Asplund, and Borgen as they want an almost NHL ready 3rd line center in Asplund and an RHD prospect in Borgen.

Would you still make the trade?

I won't. Who's the target at 5 OA? Hope that Tkachuk falls to 5th? O'Reilly's value should land us the 5th OA alone. Then we're paying Asplund and Borgen for Domi and that's too bookoo.

First, nice reference at the end!

The target at 5 would be one of Hughes, Boqvist, or Bouchard.

The goal needs to be 2nd or 3rd unless they have a trade for a younger winger in the works

Then ok trade ROR for a top ten first we can let them develop next year

With the quality of this draft, and the potential of the 3 Dmen likely to be available at 5, why wouldn't Arizona try to make the trade hurt as much as possible?

O'Reilly making $7.5M per is also a factor.

All fine players, but we're giving up 2 very good 2-way centers and not replacing them, and not finding scoring for the wings. O'reilly is expendable due to Asplund not being far from taking his place. In a year or at most 2, we'll be running with: Jack 1C, Casey 2C, Asplund 3C. If O'reilly goes, IMO it's for a scoring winger.

I wouldn't give up a first, nor would I give up O'Reilly, Asplund, and Borgen, but it wouldn't surprise me if Arizona asked for that much initially.

Sabres said they want a Richards package for ROR

We have all the leverage stop adding our future ROR

There is about 6 teams that are in the market for a center and you have teams lineing up for JT and teams will come to us after they miss out they will have the cap space

I’m not worried

Kane just got 7m and you don’t think ROR would get that if he was a UFA ?
